The next step

Day # 198 -
This will be a quick, little update, as I didn't sleep a wink last night. And Chloe will be waking up from her nap at any moment.

Our interview with the Cynthia Lambert, from the Tribune, went very well. We talked for two hours while Chloe ran around the park. Luckily, she made a new friend, Andrew, so she was pretty distracted. The Tribunes photographer took some "action shots" of Chloe and I playing in the sand. Cynthia was incredibly nice and warm. I told her everything thats happened over the past couple of years. She said our story will be in a Saturday edition. She just has to cover the elections and graduation too. Plus, do a lot of research and contact Lois Capps! Ya know, all the fun stuff! So hopefully our story will be out soon! Keep your eyes peeled! I'll definitely have the link on our blog! Its very exciting!

Our I-130, Petition for alien relative, was approved May 17, 2012. So I've been trying to tackle one of the next forms they'll be asking for, the I-864, Affidavit of support. This is a beast of a form and not fun! It's all of your and your families (if you choose to have a joint sponsor) tax information over the past three years. I went to the library over this past weekend to get some things done, including more letters to my fathers doctors. I was hoping for some peace and quiet, as Chloe was spending time with her grandparents. Instead I had two kids next to me blasting music through the headphones and fighting. What was even better was a man being asked to leave for watching porn while he chanted "LOOKING AT PORN IS MY RIGHT!!" Then a couple came in and decided to have a full blown argument right next to me.

Other than that, I was able to get a lot done. I was hoping to get started on the I-601 waiver, but that didn't happen. I did write to two of my dads doctors. One I sent out in the mail and the other I hand delivered. I asked the lady at the front desk to please deliver my letter straight to the doctor, not the office manager. My father and I have been calling the office manager for months now and I hand delivered a letter for her too. She hasn't responded to us once, not once. A letter from my dads doctor is vital to our case. Especially to the waiver. So we'll see if anything happens with that!

I also contacted the National Visa Center, which is where your approved I-130 is sent. I requested an expedite and was told our I-130 couldn't be found and to send scanned copies of our approval notice. I went down to Office Depot, had the approval notices scanned, along with my fathers most recent release form from the hospital and my grandmas death certificate. I emailed all of this and was told, yet again, that my forms couldn't be found and to wait 15 days from my approval date. Well, its been 20 days. So I emailed back expressing concern, in a very nice way. That was at midnight last night, during my insomnia.
Op, Chloes up! Until next time!

P.s. Hopefully we'll be seeing a few words from Gary soon! We've talked about it. He's just, not exactly, your typical blog writer. He's not even sure what a blog is!
